But after an 1.5hr first visit, I quickly realized I was getting way more than I expected. She did the routine checks on baby as well as for tongue and lip ties. She checked my C-section incision and helped me relieve engorgement and practice proper latch. But most of all, we just chatted, at a leisurely pace, on everything I was wondering and was concerned about while my baby nursed then napped peacefully in his crib nearby. She also answered the millions of questions asked by my toddler, and even read a story to him before leaving. It was more like a visit from a supportive and knowledgeable friend than a doctor’s visit.
In between appointments, she was always reachable via text and email to answer any new questions that popped up. She is the ONLY doctor I’ve had who directly communicates with the patient and often responds within minutes! We all know when we are concerned about our tiny babies every minute is stressful, so it was extremely reassuring knowing she was only a text message away.
To anyone on the fence or even just curious about Dr. Chan and the Fourth Trimester Package, just know you will not regret it! It’s convenient, stress-free, and personal. This is hands down the best newborn care and postpartum support you will get in Houston."
